The Vineyard Rose is an absolutely beautiful restaurant with high ceilings, nice carpeting, glamorous outdoor patio with hanging plants and water misters. The drinks I ordered were Transfusion and mango margarita and they were finely made. The Caesar salad (I added steak) was phenomenal. The ceviche tataki was delicioso! Very flavorful. The short ribs melted in my mouth very tender with a decadent gravy. Lastly, the manager Carlos went above and beyond to check on me with my son to make sure we were comfortable and changed our table with no issues to sit on the patio. Our server, Michael also was very attentive and provided excellent service you would expect from a high end spot like this. Great place for celebrations!
Sorry!! This review has been sitting in DRAFT since February! Just saw that right now! So although it is outdated, I still feel it's necessary to recognize this establishment and wonderful staff! Where do I begin?! On Wednesday February 21st, my husband and I had the absolute most enjoyable and fantastic time dining here! We checked into our lovely casita with vineyard view for my birthday and mini staycation, then headed over to the bar for a quick intermezzo and cocktails. We were promptly greeted and seated. Matthew, who was tending bar, treated us like VIP's. Really attentive and personable. He was so knowledgeable and made some outstanding suggestions for dinner, as we had 7:00 dinner reservations. Made us feel like we were regulars, when in fact, this was our first time visiting, even though we pass this establishment numerous times a week as we live 5 minutes away! Our first experience was the hummus plate. WOW! What a delightful mix of fresh veggies, pita and yummy hummus. It was a visual masterpiece. My husband enjoyed his generous pour of tequila neatly and I savored my gin martini extra dirty. Matthew did not skimp at all! Really refreshing since most places are not very generous with their portions. We enjoyed chatting with our new friend and felt so comfortable and welcomed. Dinner was phenomenal. My husband ordered the lamb shank, which was a much appreciated suggestion by Matthew during intermezzo. I had the Ribeye Asado. Medium rare. OMG!! You could cut this meat with a spoon...that is how tender it was! The flavors were unbelievable. A mix of chimichurri, roasted Japanese chili peppers, avocado and puréed black beans. The portion was incredibly satisfying...I even took about half of the meat back to my room to eat for a midnight snack! We ordered the Mediterranean salad, which at the suggestion of our amazing waiter, was split between the two of us. I will definitely come back and I do appreciate how hospitable and attentive the staff at South Coast are! Awesome experience!
The food here was amazingly delicious. Definitely recommended trying it out. Ambiance is romantic. Perfect place to celebrate a birthday or anniversary with your significant others. I would take one star off for service due to the fact that dinner bread was not offered to us. When I inquired about it the waitress rudely stated that it's only available upon request. Well it's her job to ask us in the first place if we would like some bread. How are we supposed to know that it's not already on the way as most restaurants do. Overall it was a great experience. Will definitely go back to try other dishes.
Such delicious pasta and wine! The views of this place were incredible and so serene! The wine selection impeccable and oh so refreshing! Our server was amazing! Made great recommendations for our lunch paring and it was totally worth it! This vineyard is HUGE! So much to see and so much to do!
The Vineyard Rose is part of a wonderful resort hotel to which we have yet to stay, but we sure want to. The restaurant is so great. This time we had both breakfast and dinner there. The place is as clean and wonderful as it was the last time we were there. it is just lovely and there is dinning inside or outside, both are great. The service is now perfect. They get to you right away and check on you. Your food is delivered pretty fast and it is just great. This time we had for breakfast, the steak and eggs which has this wonderful mushroom seasoning, a tasty flat iron steak with fried eggs and wonderful roasted tomatoes and great potatoes. We loved every bite. We also had, smoked salmon toast which has avocado, cucumber a lemon dill yogurt a bite of caviar and sourdough bread. I don't know if they make it there, but it is great. I could just eat toast and more toast and be happy. It also has a side salad which is crisp and ever so fresh. We returned for dinner a couple of nights later and were just wowed by the selection and the food. We started with Caesar salad and a great Mediterranean salad, which had mixed romaine, the best tomatoes, cucumber, onion, olives, some great feta cheese along with a tasty lemon-oregano dressing. It was all so fresh and crispy. We tried the salmon, with wild mushroom congee, legumes and shaved carrots. It was cooked to perfection and some of the best salmon we have had in Temecula. It was just perfect. The filet we order was cooked rare, exactly as ordered and so tender. It had a mushroom seasoning, the best smoked mashed potatoes, perfect asparagus all in a wonderful deep wine sauce. It was magical. We also had some shrimp because we are spoiled and were in heaven. The crème brulee was very good, not the best I have ever had, but super good. Try their caramel-pecan brownie. it is the best with graham whipped mallow brulée, a tasty chili ash salt with goji berry. That is something you can't really get that good elsewhere. We did not have wine, but we had some great coffee. I forgot my phone, in the car, so borrowed two photos. We had the best time and so will you.
$$$ Enjoyed a nice lunch with a group of friends. There were plenty of private events happening as well. Nice place to celebrate. Located within a vineyard and spa, multiple buildings where people can spend the whole relaxing day at The presentation was exquisite and the service was very attentive. Our water glasses was always full and they checked in if we wanted more wine. We ordered the veggie board - the hummus was icy and my husband didn't like that. I ordered the bacon burger with fries which was delicious. My husband got the cubano panini with fries and it was okay. The melted cheese was good; it has prosciutto but was not flavorful
We came here for lunch and had an amazing meal. We had a lot of time to kill and spent a good two hours starting with the charcuterie with a couple glasses of wine, moving to two entrees, and two deserts with some coffees. Everything was absolutely delicious. Service is OK... it was a busy day at the winery... there was a banquet going on, a car club visited, and a couple bus tours. Our server either forgot items (which we cancelled) or there were items we had to remind our server of. We're kind of laid back people, no harm, no foul, but I can see why other reviewers bring this up. Five stars for the great food. Each course was absolutely delicious. At a minimum, I recommend their charcuterie board and some glasses of wine. If the weather permits, a seat overlooking their courtyard is very nice in Spring.
This is an elegant place located in the South Coast Winery. Reservations are highly recommended. I was here late November, so it wasn't that crowded and the restaurant was mostly empty. We split a Caesar salad and ordered the Scottish Salmon with a suggested glass of syrah wine. We had eaten fairly late in the day so our appetites were not that hardy. The salmon melted in my mouth and the couscous that accompanied it was really good. Our waiter was very knowledgeable about the winery and things to see around town. The place was very quiet and I would even say romantic. The ambience was warm and filled with holiday cheer. This is a good place to come for dinner.
We made reservations for Thanksgiving. Reservation required. We were glad we did. The whole family enjoyed ourselves. When you walk in the size and beauty of this restaurant gives you the feeling of joy that we made the right decision to be here. The food was delicious. From the Appetizers, Salads, Salmon, Halibut, Porkchop, Tomahawk,. The menu was limited to the best choice of food. Our waitress was Kristin she was nice and appeared to be busy as I'm sure due to the Holiday staff was limited. Overall we had a fantastic time worth the visit.
